The Learner is provided with User Name and Password to the GEM Online Campus, which enables access to the interactive Online Screen Guide; the Learner Guide (pdf); the Assessment Guide; and the Quick Reference Guide.
Study via face to face intensives; supported by Learner Guide, Assessment Guide; Online Seminars.
Nominal minimum hours of study plus individual research and on the job application is 1,800 – 2,400 hours (normally over a period of 18-24 months); OR approximately 10 hours research and study per week (face-to-face/online) for 18 months from commencement. During the balance of the time, learners will be engaged in work-based/simulated work-based (portfolio building) activities, assessments.
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who apply substantial specialised skills and knowledge in the field of learning and capability development. In these roles, they make significant high-level independent judgements in major planning, design, operational and management functions within highly varied or specialised contexts.
Career Opportunities/Vocational Outcomes
This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build capability; in these roles, they harness learning to enhance existing practices and thinking, workforce capability and career development. In addition, the qualification may relate to professionals or managers in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO); a Senior Secondary School or College, seeking to advance organisational learning and capability.

The qualification may relate to professionals or managers.
The requires the completion of four (4) units, consisting of two core (2) units and two (2) electives.

- 1 elective unit must be selected from Group A elective units
- One further Elective unit may be selected from Group A or Group B or from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at Advanced Diploma or above.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
