What is the Scorpion difference?

At Scorpion Training Solutions, we don’t treat you as just another number. We believe in putting you first and helping you well beyond your qualification. One of the ways we love to help is by offering free reviews of your work history, budget, current qualifications and goals as part of our training package.

How do I enrol in a course?

You can enrol in a Scorpion training course online any time. To view a list of courses, available dates and to enrol online, go to the information page for the course of your choice.

Then look for the Calendar on the right hand side & follow the simple instructions to search available dates, select the date that suits you and enrol. If you enrol in an incorrect date/course by accident, simply contact us to resolve. (It is not a problem and you will not be locked in by us!)

How long will my course take?

Different courses take different amounts of time, depending on the qualification.

A list of estimated course delivery lengths are below. Please note that these classroom delivery durations are anticipated minimums and may vary depending on which course you wish to study.

Course Inclusions & Support

Your course books and materials are included in your course fees and are provided on commencement of your course. In addition we offer full support by our Trainers to resolve any questions or difficulties you may encounter while completing your course work. Please contact us immediately you are unsure of any requirements or feel a need for assistance.

Learning Difficulties or Disabilities

We do our best to cater for all clients as we recognise we are all different and face challenges. Whether you have a confirmed disability / learning difficulty or maybe some fear of commencing/completing your training, please discuss with us at or prior to enrolling. We will assist you and find a way to accommodate you as best we can.

How much will my course cost?
To find out how much any course costs, please go to the course information page - pricing is clearly stated near the top of the page.
A deposit of $500 is required within 14 days of enrolling to secure your course place.
If cash flow is an issue for you, we are happy to discuss and arrange a payment plan tailored to your situation.

How do I pay for my Course?

Payment options are:

  1. PayPal - select "Yes to pay now" in your enrolment form and complete your payment with a secure PayPal transaction (no fees)
  2. Direct Credit - select "No" to the "pay now" question in your enrolment form. We will send an invoice with our Bank Account details.
  3. VISA or Mastercard Credit Card - select "No" to the "pay now" question in your enrolment form. We will send an invoice and payment can be made at our Reception or by phone. (Note: a 2% fee applies for all Visa/Mastercards)

What fees do I pay if I need to transfer my course to another date?

We do not charge a transfer fee so long as you advise us at least 7 days prior to your start date. If you advise at short notice we may apply a fee as per our cancellation policy!

Other fees may be applied, refer to the Client Handbook or discuss with us for specific items, such as:

  • cancellation - rebooking of TAE Presentation Assessment
  • Extension to overall Term of Course

Will my personal information be safe - Privacy Policy?

Client Records, Privacy and Confidentiality

Scorpion Training Solutions keeps client training and assessment records electronically in our Student Management System, PowerPro. Results and certification records are kept by the RTO for 30 years.

Paper records of Client training and assessments are shredded and disposed of in a secure fashion. All client information is securely stored and electronic copies are backed up off-site daily.

Our Privacy and Confidentiality Policy applies to all staff, students, clients and stakeholders. We will not disclose any information that we gather about our clients to any third party.  We use the information collected only for the services we provide.  No client information is shared with another organisation.  If client information is required by a third party, for a valid purpose, we will obtain written consent from the relevant client prior to release of any information. 

Should another training institution formally request verification of the student's qualifications, its transmission will need to be authorised by the student in writing.

Should clients seek access to their information records, we have a documented procedure requiring authorisation before this can occur. Depending on the nature of the request, we will respond to the request within 5 working days.

Scorpion Training Solutions only collects personal information by fair and lawful means and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner.

What if I am unhappy - can I appeal an assessment decision or make a complaint?

Assessments - Firstly, please discuss the decision and available options with your Scorpion Assessor to fully understand the reason/s for the decision. Following this discussion, your Assessor may decide to reassess the evidence you have provided, and/or moderate their assessment decision with another STS Assessor or request further evidence or re-submission of your assignment. Your assessor will advise you of the outcome of any assessment providing feedback to guide you in their decisions.

Appeals/Complaints - If the assessment matter is not resolved following discussion with your assessor you may wish to lodge a written or verbal appeal/complaint.

Written complaints should be lodged using Scorpion's readily available form with instructions on how to lodge your complaint. Please contact us and we will forward the forms and our procedure for handling all complaints. Alternately, please email us at admin@scorpiontraining.com.au

Verbal complaints may be made to the CEO or Managing Director - please call us and ask to be transferred. If both gentlemen are unavailable please leave a message requesting a call back and we will endeavour to return your call within 24 hours.

If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, then you may refer the matter to the Training Accreditation Council (TAC) complaints team. Details about how to lodge a complaint with TAC can be obtained from the TAC website. 

What is the cancellation policy?
Note: Only accepted in writing and applicable from the date we acknowledge receipt! (email is accepted)

Terms are:

  • if 10 working days or more prior to course commencement - a refund less 20% administration fee applies
  • if less than 10 working days prior to course commencement, a refund less 50% late cancellation fee applies
  • If after the commencement of the program, NO refund applies

Will my qualification be Nationally Recognised?
Scorpion Training Solutions offers Australian Nationally Recognised Certificate & Diploma Courses and is a Registered Training Organisation. We adhere to strict industry standards, ensuring your qualifications are of exceptional quality and will be recognised throughout Australia and the world.

Our registration number is 52511. This can be confirmed, along with our approved scope of courses, on the Federal training.gov.au website. 

When will I receive my qualification certificate?
Once you have completed and submitted all of your course work and assessments, your work will be assessed for competency. Once competency is met, an original certificate of qualification will be posted to you within ten (10) working days. A PDF copy is also emailed to you.

If you lose your original Certificate or do not receive it, contact us straight away as we can provide a replacement. Depending on the circumstances, there may be a small charge of $25 /certificate page to cover admin and postage costs.

If your employer or another 3rd party requires us to confirm your Qualification is legitimate, then please contact us. There is no charge for this validation service, but we do require your written permission to protect your information! - see our Privacy Policy 

Where is Scorpion Training Solutions located?
Scorpion Training Solutions operates our Classroom courses at our impressive training facility at 310 Treasure Road (North) Welshpool. This is conveniently located 20 minutes from Perth's CBD, 5 minutes from Perth International Airport and 10 minutes from Perth Domestic Airport.

We can deliver training in any location in Western Australia, Victoria and Internationally, provided there are adequate participants and suitable facilities.

What does a standard training day involve?
A standard training day at Scorpion Training Solutions involves engaging and interactive training with one of our expert facilitators, in one of our comfortable training rooms. Courses typically run from 8.00am to approx 3.30pm, with breaks scheduled for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Coffee/Tea/Milo/Milk/Filtered Water are provided for your course, however lunches are your responsibility. There are vending machines and hot drink facilities on-site including a kitchen and fridges for food preparation and storage. A lunch bar is located approx 100 metres from the centre.

Professional catering can be arranged for your course if required.

What should I bring to my training?
We recommend bringing a notepad and pen or a laptop/tablet to work on. Any additional requirements will be included in your training pack, typically consisting of either course workbook(s) &/or a USB containing the appropriate content.

For most courses a Laptop/Notebook device is a highly desirable work aid for each attendee. You will be notified on enrolment of specific requirements for your course of study.

What should I wear to my training?
The minimum standard required for our premises is Smart Casual clothing along with closed toe shoes, suitable for an office/administration work place.

Do I need to do anything before my training starts?
Some of our courses involve prerequisite learning that is compulsory. If your course involves prerequisite learning, it will be clearly stated to you and the prerequisite material will be delivered to you before the course begins with clear instructions. If this content is not completed prior to attending you will not be able to commence the course.

If you are working in an industry relevant to your study, you may wish to prepare some questions or real-life scenarios to bring with you. Our facilitators are ready to help you with any situations that may occur for you at work and love answering your questions.

How do I study by e-learning/distance?
Most of our accredited training is available by e-learning online or by distance option where we provide hard or electronic versions of training materials to you. You can study from your home or remote location, with assessments required to be completed within a 12 month time frame from your enrolment date.
If you are interested in completing your training via e-learning or distance, you can enrol in your course in two ways.

Studying by Distance will involve materials delivered to you via personal collection, mail or email.

e-Learning is facilitated through our online platform - accessed via our website using your personal log in/password. You can contact your training facilitator at any time throughout your course for queries, assistance, support or explanations by email, phone or by personal appointment.

Your learning is flexible and self-paced and we also allow you to convert to a classroom option, in most cases, without any fee penalty.

Note: e-learning clients are provided with access to the first 3 units only, until course fees are fully paid.

Can I use previous study or workplace experience towards my qualification? (What is RPL?)

Yes! In many cases you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) towards your qualification. This process is designed to map your existing qualifications and work skills to competencies within qualifications.  This can be done at any point during your training, but is most appropriate well prior to commencing any course of study.

Contact our team before you begin your training to see if you qualify for fulll or partial RPL. Scorpion offer a free no obligation assessment to determine potential eligibility for RPL. To commence this process simply email a copy of your Resume & existing qualifications (including all Statements of Attainments) to us for assessment. The preliminary Assessment typically involves 7-10 working days, after which we will contact you to discuss a pathway to the qualification you seek and we will confirm course fee(s) applicable.

RPL – You can apply for RPL to gain credits for a course of study taking into account your prior education, qualifications, knowledge, skills, life and work experience. This may also apply to recurrency training requirements for certain qualifications like First Aid that require renewals.

Can I use a Scorpion Training qualification to get into University?
University courses are curriculum based as opposed to Vocational and credits between the 2 qualification types is rare.
Some Scorpion qualifications may qualify you to apply for advanced standing with Universities. To find out more, please consult directly with the University enrolment team.
